Intel Conroe or Allendale processors is better in productivity and OC, but it has a big defect - cost of platform. Motherboard for AMD is cheaper than mobo for Intel, so AMD is more profitable. Socket AM2 has been operate a new Phenom processors, so we don't have to change a motherboard when we buy a new AMD processor.
